We are trying to implement an Excel workbook (on SharePoint) that has hyperlinks to PDF files. We need to edit the PDF and save them as a different file name in a folder on SharePoint and then update the hyperlink in the Excel workbook.
Problems:
Cannot save a copy of the PDF (from Acrobat 8) back to the SharePoint folder. We get an error that the file cannot be saved on SharePoint.

Edit shared page link got missed when I migrated the site from WSS 2.0 to WSS 3.0 in the document libraries. I somehow restored it but the modify shared web part points to different links that are irrelavant to the page. Coudl anyone help me out in this regard

I have imported a spreadsheet table with several columns one of which is a date column (Test Date). I would like to create a calculated column (Due Date) which adds 6 months to the original column and then another column (Days Left) that counts down the number of days until the (Due Date).

I have no problems creating the new Columns but cannot get any calculations to work.

I have an data entry form(probably a custom page). In that form can I use sharepoint List in "edit in datasheet" mode so that user can enter some information in it and that will be a part of that particular form entry(probably in the same list for all forms but we can filter it?).
Please suggest? Or if not, is there any ASP.NET control available which will give me all these functionality...

What I would like to know if sharepoint can do the following scenario:

 

People within a project can check out a document from sharepoint to their laptops make changes and upload back to sharepoint. Can sharepoint support multiple users? and how is this done?

When on our contacts page, when a user tries to use a sort menu to sort the list of contacts, they recieve a promt telling them there are secure and unsecure items on the page. I know this is caused by the javascript being run, generating the menu in an iframe; the problem is that the source points to display:none, which is unsecure, therefore we get a prompt about it. I know this doesn't have any...

I want to publish InfoPath forms that can be completed in the browser so users do not need InfoPath to complete them. I see a message stating the the site I'm publishing to does not permit this feature. How can I enable it?

Want to change it to the Team Work Site template, can this be done? would we lose all our user information? documents, etc?

Microsoft's sharepoint offering at bCentral is being discontinued and they have recommended APPTix to host our sharepoint services.  However, they have not provided a way to move the data.  I ahve the backup files (.fwp) files that frontpage created.  How can I restore those to an apptix sharepoint server?  Everytime I've tried to restore to any sharepoint server the restore fails...
