RE: How do I attach a link to a image to launch a different Sharepoint page?

You can do this virtually pages and Web part with a simple workaround.
  1. Use the Hyperlink button to create a hyperlink with text only. You can delete the text later.
  2. Place the cursor in the hyperlink and use the Insert Image button to insert the picture.
  3. Delete any or all of the hyperlink text.

The picture is now a hyperlink.
