Hi,
After approving the item using the workflow the approval status not changed as Approved from pending.The status of the workflow remains as in progress in the all events screen as well as in the individual item screen.But if we check the workflow information of a particular item .The status of the workflow is approve.
This issue occurs in some rare case.
Test1 item even after approval shows the status as pending
